Who is this chick, anyway?!

While relatively new to Richmond, Debby Moro is no newcomer to creativity and the arts.

After nearly a decade in the exciting world of tax auditing and consulting, Debby longed for a creative career and returned to school. She graduated, with honors, from the Art Institute of Atlanta's interior design program. Her work teamed her with other Atlanta-based designers and real estate agents on a variety of projects, including model homes, symphony showhouses, kitchen and bath design, church renovation, and event design.

Her family eventually moved to Colorado, where the views were stunning, but the food was ... not. Unable to find a bakery to accomodate her son's birthday cake request, Debby designed and made it herself. She refined her top-secret recipes after arriving in Richmond during 2008 and launched Sugar Buzz!, LLC shortly after winning the 2009 Chesterfield County Fair's decorated cake division.

Debby loves using her design skills to create cakes that match her clients' style, and her use of details ensures each cake is a unique creation. When she's not "baking and caking", she keeps her hands busy by painting, sewing, and drawing.
